If Glenn doesn't know what these are, we are doomed!!!
I'm posting these for Steven up in the Vast Frozen Flatness Of Central Canada (apparently NOT quite The Great Collecting Desert, BTW ! )
These look to me like the sort of boards worn by a "Beamten-Stellvertreter" sort of person, because the braid does not extend across the entire "M1866" type boards the way they did for junior officers and the equivalent (there should still be my 1874-88 Naval Garrison Administration boards in a back page "boards" thread, if not, will repost for comparison)
Link to those boards: this post shows the boards and the next one a closeup of the devices:
http://dev.wehrmacht-awards.com/foru...83&postcount=7
BUT!!!
Although we have the Imperial Eagle in all its flamboyant heraldic splendor... no "black-white-red" in the metallic thread and...
I have NEVER seen pips like these-- OFFICER style with TINY EAGLES in the centers!!! Beamten had ROSETTES and not this style pip.
So---
What Are They???
