Hans, thanks for kind words! My camera died and I wanted to post more of the tops and inside of the Einheitsmutze. Yours are gorgeous!! The Pioneer is outstanding and especially love the cammo band with the safety pin!! Beautiful caps!! Thanks for sharing! Mike.

Again, just a sad reality that there are not a great deal of Imperial headgear collectors on this forum. I recently sold a kick a$$ See battalion cap and those are rare as hens teeth. A real one looker I might add. But mainly I'm strictly a visor collector

Gebirgs, I think you hit it on the head. I saw a post some time ago stating not many posts on the Imperial forum so I tried to accomodate to little or no effect. Mike.

              Hi Mike
And while I mean no disrespect for our TR collectors, I think that era has hit a plateau of sorts.

I believe the German Imperial era to be an untapped market of some of the most beautiful militaria of their time. Unless of course you subscribe to the Der Rittsmeister Theory and price everything for the mid 21st century albeit there are plenty of sold signs all the time (go figure)

Bottom line, don't sell German Imperial items here unless you want a limited audience and dont expect to see too many members sharing their collections cause there just ain't many of em'

Gebirgs, a good point. Imperial German is a neat area and a mixture between the 19th century colorful uniforms and the 20th century practical cammoflage uniforms. The interest in Imperial is not on this forum and that is OK. I just thought posting something a little different would be fun. Hope you enjoyed my posts! Mike.

                  Kuepperia caps! Leicht und Luftig!

Not a Feldmuetze.......but I think it is a nice field grey cap, too!

Someone, who knows the quality of Kuepperia caps, too? Kuepperia caps are light weight caps and they are water resistent! The caps were private purchased caps and I think the most of them were worn by officers in summer!

The cap on the photo (officer from Oldenburg) was in my collection for some years. I sold it because I got another Kuepperia cap.

Did you noticed the moth holes in the red piping? Ok, you will say not unusual for an old cap..... I had some different of the Kuepperia caps in the past (pre 1914 variants too!) Unusual is on the top of such caps has never been a moth hole !! It seems the moths don't like the water resistent material
