Well its not a one looker .Personally I wouldnt buy it as it has no depth no patina but thats just me ,try posting it in the ww2 helmet forum and see what they say .Rob

Thanks for the email and additional photos. My opinion remains the same. I don't like it, and I would not buy it based on the following reasons:

1. The colors of the paint are close, but, look a little off to me.

2. The application of the paint is suspect.

3. The overall wear of the paint is suspect, especially around the rim.

4. The back rivet hole is completely painted around. It actually looks like the inside of the rivet hole was painted.

5. It looks like the green paint was applied over areas of the black divider lines on the right side.

That's enough for me to pass.

Wow I think your right putting it that way. The back liner hole really bothers me and I did not think about it. NO wear on it at all. But there is wear on the other two liner holes with the pins.

Not sure any green paint has covered any of the black. Looks to me in hand to be a case of black paint wearing off.
