I don't have inside shots i can post but I have them on an email I can view. Absolutly no doubts about the inside.

What is it about the outside Rob? Does it look like a fake mock up?

This was an ebay helmet. I just won it. I went ahead and bid because it has a seven day inspection period.

If it's good paint I just got a pretty good deal

If I don't like it it's simply going back.

The colours are weak and washed out to me it just doesnt have the look but thats my personal opinion ,compare it to the one Campbell has posted they are like chalk and cheese. Post it on The German Helmet Walhalla forum there are a few who like these there .Rob.

Hello Wilhelm,

I saw this helmet and immediately passed on it. I don't like it either... pretty much for the same reasons Rob had. I'm sure with an on hands inspection I could dig a little deeper for you.

In the last few years this ebay seller started selling WWI German M16 Camos that were down right ugly and obvious fakes. Seems like they're getting better.

I don't think the call can be made by those bad photos so I will have to see when I get it. The photos looked good enough to risk an inspection. The seller seems up standing in that he told me I could take more days on the inspection period and send back if I was not happy.
If it's really bad right out of the box I won't even bother with photos here.

As for washed out, not sure what you mean? I have a good helmet that has this washed out dulled down look to it.

you might be right... we'll see when you get it. This one looks good, as well as the camo Steve Campbell has posted. To me it's obvious, but hey, maybe it is the photos.

You might be right too! Obviously this is why I posted here. I should have posted sooner as I kinda ran out of time making the call.

Bad photos can make a bad age job look tempting till you get it in your hands. It does bother me that you say this guy has been selling a lot of camos and he put up a new one right after all his other stuff sold. It looks bad too even if it's got a coating of some sort of clear coat.

Funny thing about most helmets I get. You know with in seconds of opening the box if it's good or bad.

OK guys I got the helmet in hand and I am stumped. The only thing that bothers me is it has a look of the helmets that you see on ebay in the dozens by some bulgarian seller. They all look convincing but all the photos are bad.

What is the verdict?
