It looks to have Asterix mark on the pin, which is marking for non-precious metal, at least in Austria. So I tend to believe it is silver plated bronze, not real silver.

That is also my understanding of the mark.

the piece posted by Miro, shows the pin struck with what we can consider a typical, Austrian "Stern-Punze" or Star Mark, indicating a piece made of non-precious metal.

The mark struck on the pin of Harb Madalyası in this discussion, appears to me as being a "cross mark", that I cannot identify.

In any case, in my opinion, the piece should be ok.
