Greetings All,
Posting some photos of a trench art crucifix obtained this past year. I searched the forum but didn't find any threads on these. My understanding is that they were produced en masse as keepsake mementos after the war. I've seen a number of examples bearing references to Ypres, where they were presumably sold to tourists and pilgrims. This is the first one I've come across featuring a Gott Mit Uns button.
Curious if anyone else collects these, and if there is additional information available about the origins of who produced them.
Best Regards
