I'm sure I have asked this before but does anyone know where one can buy original WWI medal ribbons, not just EKII ribbons but other medals as well?

I'm debating whether I should replace the badly stained ribbons on this medal bar. I think the staining was from the glue the man used to mount his medals on the medal bar form. I plan to keep the stained ribbons to display with the new ribbons added to the medal bar. Need opinions whether or not replace the ribbons. I have a spare original EKII ribbon, but would need the other two ribbons. Here is a link to my posting of this medal bar

I personally would leave it the way it is and was made. It is an historical object.
As a side note, the WWI award Ribbons were made into the 1970s (and in many cases still are being made) almost exactly as they were made in WWI. Many WWI ribbons also were made from 1933-45 and after the War, the same machines and materials were used to make ribbons. Many of the "WWI" and "WWII" ribbons being sold as period originals now were made from +-1955 into the early 70s by companies like Karl Loy in Munich.

thanks Jonny ..I also know that is most likely the case.
(No wonder one can buy huge collections of them on shows)
but such side notes are not generally accepted around here ,,
mint ribbon story's are the thing most look for .
mint ribbon and bars and medals are the thing a lot of collectors believe in and admire ..
no matter UV light influences , time ,wars ,science ,laws of nature ,logic .
even 1870 bars and medals go harder and higher priced if the ribbon is almost untouched, new mint ,shiny .( not only around here )
I wonder what will happen if some real experienced cloth and fabric expert come around here and start a reality check on ribbons of our medals

You could have a new bar made to display the medals and keep the original as it is on the side-
This is a company in Germany that still makes Imperial style medal bars-
