Late production Pilot's Badge

    It was made some time after when the L / numbers system was started...makes it a transitional replacement for someone who earned it in the first war, but likely needed another for whatever the reason. IF you collect pilots badges from the first war, this type version is a tough bird to find.....and I am unaware of any ever being aluminum. Some nice ones shown in this thread.

        I had not been aware of L/ marked Imperial style pilot's badges before finding this one. I guess the old axiom of 'Never say never' applies here.
