imperial pilot badge ID

Here is one of my badges that is the same maker as the one that started this thread. It is the only one by this maker I have encountered with a back plate.Not only that but a MM too. Could this unravel the mystery of this makers I.D ?? Does anyone recognise this MM? The badge appears to have a meybauer type reverse set up (pin and catch). Ferg

It is really hard to see what the marking is because it has been double struck. Can you make out what is beneath the crown? Is it a two letter monogram?
