EK II WWI non magnetic Deumer?

I recently bought this non magnetic EK II! I believe this is a Deumer cross, a replacement cross from ww II, but I am not very sure?

    Weight : 15,9 gram
    Ring size : 15,3 mm
    Size cross 43,3 x 43,2

The core rattles in the frame, when you shake it!

I can not find much about this type off cross, because the most I see and read about, have a magnetic core! I could find one thread here on this forum, but with no attachments anymore and from years ago!

May be someone can tell me a little bit more about this type off cross?

      Thank you Kay,

Oké, that declares the weight! It is lighter than a Schinkel non magnetic from the same year and maker ( 18,1 gram)!

You use the term 'often´, but I can not find much about this non magnetic variant of the EK II, also not in the book of Frank Wernitz ......just that makes it interesting for me!

I bought the cross because it is a little peace in the whole EK history and it is the example/ Parts narrator of the Schinkel variant.

The 1914 EK 2 as offered in an official Deumer's medal catalog (november 1939)

Nice patina.......very, very worn cross. Most of the time, the core is rusting away, here it is it the frame. But still a beautiful time document (relic).

I have seen more EK I WWI with a non magnetic core, more than EK II. Recently I bought a Deumer EKI WWI with a non magnetic core (copper) myself!

I like the copper cores, because they have a beautiful patina when they are worn on the high places ( crown and W).

I think that mine Deumer EK II has a zink core, because off the weight!
