    Kuk signature identification

Can anybody identify the owner of this signature?

This is a very rare awards document given to an Ottoman junior officer in kuk army dated 1917.

    Thanks

    Tan

It is the first time I see an award document for the Militärverdienstkreuz III Klasse m. KD awarded to a Turkish officer: I congratulate for the very interesting piece!

I apologize for the very short reply, but I'm through the usual, annual, highly annoying flu and its disrturbing side-effects...

P.S.: some of the very high orders and decorations belonged to count Berchtold, were in the first collection of Dr. A. Spada, plundered (and almost entirely lost) in the early '80s.

                    Thank you Don,

This is quite a rare document if not unique. I have seen some similar documents from the Kuk army but I have never seen any other given to an Ottoman officer.

I also have his Gallipoli Medal with its document as well. The grouping also includes other Ottoman medal documents and interestingly two badges from 1936 berlin olympics.

This is dated 1936 as well but I have no idea what it was for

Boy that is one long name.... when I was in school in the 8th grade we had a kid with the name of Karl Leo Lawrence Jarsdorffer III, and I thought that was a real long name to have, this one surpasses Karl's for sure... LOL... Harold

                            Dearest forum members

I am trying to make further research into this grouping and I would appreciate some help on finding out more about these two Prussian medals.

As I understand they have different types, for example Typ 1873-1918 as Sascha puts it here:

                            http://woeschler-orden.de/preu-en-kr...ille-1873-1918

The one I have is probaby the same type as it was given in 1917 but is there any visual clue on them as a design difference or manufacturing or assembly details that one can make out the type?

Is there a way to estimate the value of this grouping at all? I wont be selling it but I would like to know where it would be.

Some people were complaining that there were no more valuable discussions in this forum, I hope we can elaborate one on these medals and this grouping which people agree that it is rare because no one has seen another surviving document from a senior Ottoman Officer at Kuk Army.

Can't wait to hear some thoughts on the medals.
