I only had to new purchases this year. One was a 3/4 sized Prinzen
1870 Ek2 and the other was a nearly mint "silber" marked Zimmerman
screwback Ek1. I can't pick a best.Comment

I haven't really been collecting imperial too much but I think the last piece I found this year (?) was an EK2/spange combo, EK2 is marked WE on the small ring..

I too have a problem in picking my best new piece for 2013. I'd have to say it's a toss up between my CD 800 EK2 set in blue wrapping paper stamped Carl Dillenius Pforzheim...
...and my 800 stamped vaulted EK1 screw back...

My best purchases of 2013 will have to be the two wide frame EKII's which I have bought from two members here. Will post pics when I have them in my hands. There are already pics posted on the forum by Alex and Aaron of the crossesComment
