Silver Wound Badge / Marked 938?

Since Souval made badges during and after the war how does one tell the difference between the two? I have heard some collectors avoid all Souval badges and medals because of the fact they made the same badges post war.

The prevailing opinion for years was that the Souval firm used a thicker round RS on post-war badges (left) and a thinner angled RS on war-time badges (right). Also, the quality of the Souval post-war badges was not nearly as good as the war-time badges.

As I don't collect TR badges, I don't know if that's still the prevailing view.
