Hello everyone, I originally posted this belt buckle in the Axis forum believing that this was a WW2 Romanian Belt Buckle but after doing some research, I found out that this was a Hessian Belt Buckle. I got this buckle belt from a friend who lived around Volgograd. She said she was out for a walk when she found this belt buckle. She was thinking that I would be interested in it. After cleaning it up, On the bottom of the Belt Buckle, there are a pair of initials. I was wondering if anyone happen to know what these letters are? I am guessing DB but I could be wrong. Since I am not familiar with the Old Germanic Script.

P.S. Where there any Hessian Regiments on the Eastern Front? Could the Belt Buckle come from maybe a German Veteran who wore it during WW2?
