    WMC on E-Stand

    hi collectors,

I would like to have some opinions about the brunswick wmc on e-stand
    http://dev.wehrmacht-awards.com/foru...d.php?t=636267

I never saw such a setup on a wmc before, the scripture and
the front stamping both are different to popular pieces.

What do you mean? I heard about fakes of the brunswick wmc,
but this looks very good, too.

    thanks a lot.

    regards kai

It looks pretty normal to me, albeit a little overpriced.

I see nothing that screams fake. Its probably a post WW1 replacement piece for use on medal bars.

thanks but this piece is surely not “normal“
medal bar replacement I would also agree.

What do you guage this on? You could try matching it to a maker. We have some catalogs posted here: http://dev.wehrmacht-awards.com/foru...d.php?t=180063

I think I know what you mean, gen, but as Don said, it´s only the question of maker. This looks to be the type that goes thinner to the end of cross arms and has wider rim. I think you mean the "normal" is the one which has the same thickness from center to the ends and thinner rim. I had both types, and both were originals. Sold for less than 30 euros each.

People sometimes get quite semantical on this forum.

By "normal" I meant that there's nothing atypical about it. It falls within the parameters of known types.

Here compare for yourself the cross is atypical to the awarded type pieces.
Or do you still see identic crosses?

My question was if someone knows these variation or
                      can tell something about it.

                      Thanks

                      regards kai
