Here is an interesting order..... A German made Imperial Russian Order of St. George...
For those of you who have followed the Ernst I von Sax-Altenburg threads.... Herr Ernst has now come to live at the Avery houshold.... and in doing so... I now havethe daunting task of replicating his medal bar (as pictured in an earlier thread)...
One of the peices that I thought would be the hardest one to find turned out to be one of the first ones... An Order of St. George...
and what's even better ... is that it is made by Godet and the first thing that stands out is the suspension... It is in the typical German style rather than the Russian style (like an IC 2nd class)...
