I think that pic is wrong Frank. The tri plane that had the rounded iron cross had a white cowling I believe.

I look up from my PC and on the wall in front of me is the framed print "last Word" that Frank posted in #15 by James Dietz. A beautiful print, I love it, the aircraft is correct for Dr1 425/17, but Dietz was seduced by watching "The Blue Max"! Everyone, even the flight crew have red cap bands which is completely incorrect for Mannschaft Fliegertruppen. Cannot believe an accomplished artist would not take the time to research the uniforms. Ugh. The Flight Crew cap bands should be black. T
