It looks a great deal like a reworked Cejalvo solid silver piece that's had spurious markings added to it.

Hi Les, aren't the Cejalvo pieces know as "Spanish Fakes?" maybe I'm confused about that???
          Thanks!

This exact piece was discussed here http://dev.wehrmacht-awards.com/foru...light=Dead-eye at great length.

As a side note, the person who owned it at the time of that thread was perfectly aware that it was a fake, so IF he is still the owner and IF it is being offered by him as an original ($4000 would indicate it is not being offered as cheap junk) then that would be a major issue....

              Hello:

This piece is without a doubt a modern forgery. To me it has no value!

Good eye Biro, looks like some shenanigans going on here.
Of course, the OP in the posted thread could have sold it as a repro, and now someone else is looking to sting someone.

I made the OP of the other thread aware of this one, he stated it was sold to another WAF member, didn't wish to comment on who or at what price.
I don't feel right divulging the complete details of a pm, but thats the gist of what was said, hopefully he will further enlighten this thread.
He said something very odd that really needs explaining, I'm hoping it was less than perfect English skills that led him to say it.

                            plm

Are you saying someone was rip off for this plm thinking it was origianal and the seller is hiding who it was sold to?If sold as original the buyer needs to know this because it soulds like he was miss led.

If that is the case, then absolutely
