You might be right, possible, that an NCO got the 2 medals and after promotion to Lt the Albert.
I assume this is a knight because the dealer had also this miniature bar I mentioned.

Rick is right, it is a pity that the Saxons didnt have a device to distinguish the medals and the knight. The Badenser and the Württemberger had oak leaves to distinguish the awards.

Both received their Gold Saint Henry prior to being commissioned, Lewitkzy received his as a Feldwebel-Leutnant and Dittrich as a Vizefeldwebel.

thats quite normal in Saxony. ORDERS for officers, DECORATIONS for NCO´s. I think only Württemberg gave the military merit MEDAL also to jounger lieutenants.

A question to Your 2 possible owners,
Lewitzky from IR 133 didnt got a Sachsen Meiningen award?

Gee Whiz!

Man, spend the day asleep and all heck breaks loose out here! Hi Daniel, awesome ribbon, I think I've seen this one before when we first swapped some photographs. A Saxon would not have replaced a silver with a gold St. Henri Medal. He would have worn both on the bar and ribbon bar. Or, in this case, all three! RK,GM,SM,AOR2wX,EK2, etc. would be proper placement. I am surprised at the photo showing the AOR2wX before the two medals. Naughty, naughty. I can't tell here from the pix, is it a definate Albert Order in 2. place or is it possibly his EK2?? Still wrong mounting, but lots of this went on and I think it would be difficult for a Senior officer to break the stones of ANY triple St. Henri Winner!<br>
I find this information:
Leutnant Walter Kuhn, born 30.11.1894; Killed 18.10.1918
Awarded RK on 25.11.1916, in Flanders, while Fuhrer of 4. Kompanie, Inf. regt. 104.
Now, here's the interesting part!
He was awarded his Golden St. Henry Medal on 31.5.1916, while a Vizefeldwebel of the Same 104 Infantry regiment(!) So, he was Commissioned and won the RK within SIX months of winning the Gold Medal.
I show his Silver St. Henri awarded on 14.8.1915, he's still a Vizefeldwebel at this point.
I couldn't find a patent date for him. Quite the career, it makes you pause and think that this man could rise so far above the absolute hell of where he was.
No ZVO1, or 2 wX, No AOR1wX.
AOR2wX awarded 11.9.1916, just about 2 months before his RK der St. Henri. It seems he was an "active" Leutnant.
