I don't about anyone else, but these Austrian and Hungarian ribbons confuse the hell out of me.

So, are you saying the ribbon was the same for the medal posted in post #10 and the 1912-13 Balkans War Mobilization Cross? How would one differentiate from the two is entitled to both.

Is there any one GOOD reference on Austrian awards (online or hard copy) that someone could recommend?

There is a photo on eBay right now of this "transitional" wear and it is the first I have seen in years.
      Thanks!!

      Best regards,

        Hi Tim !

The long service award in Post 10 has a wrong ribbon. It has the one from the "Mobilisierungskreuz 1912 /13" (with 2 black stripes), but should have a ribbon with ONE thick stripe.
Black and yellow are the "Habsburg-colors". This is the reason why so many ribbons have these colors in them.

        kind regards,

        Peter

          Thanks Peter!

That's what I thought, and of all the Austrian ribbon bar charts I've looked at, the two black narrow striped ribbon only show as the 1912-13 mobilization cross.

Nice to know that I'm not losing it.
