Hello Gents,
Ireceived that early Juncker EK II in the mail today, and thought that I'd try a Q-tip with silver dip on a dark spot on the reverse frame. Um......the spot is still there. Perhaps not a true silver frame, but I did find a slight seperation of the inner corners of the frame where they meet at the centre. Very intriguing.
A lovely Cross indeed
Cheers,
Bill

Thanks Carl,
No sign of frosting. I wondered if they were neusilber frames (like their early RK cousins).
Funny...I've been reading detrimental remarks about Junckers and their frame soldering skills. Ah well - nothing beats an early Juncker zinc-core unmarked RK
I promise.....no more playing with silver dip
Cheers,
Bill

You can see how it was before HERE. I am not 100% without regrets on this one, but on balance I like it much more now and I'm very happy I decided to clean it. You can see that I left a bit of patina on the front, and there is some more on the reverse behind the plate.Best regards,

It's like the "ladies"who used 20 pounds of silicone to get what mother nature failed to give them....it simply doesn't look right for me-my hard is bleeding when I have to buy one of these pieces just because it's another white spot in my collection! -Of course I'm talking about an iron cross!!!

To quote Roger Waters:
I always said
I prefer your lips red
Not what the good Lord made
But what He intended
I believe this cross is now just how Mother Nature intended it to be -- it just needed my help to get there
