I missed that thread when I was traveling -- but, yes, I see that you got no interest . Maybe Imperial is a better place to collect our knowledge about it.
So let's just try to figure out a few basics here.
Known Godet marks include:
- G
- GODET
- GODET•BERLIN
- JGuS
- JG&S
- 21
- L/50
Can someone add additional makers marks (not silver content marks) to the list?
Here are some threads in which multiple Godets are shown:
Godets 1
Godets 2
Obviously anything marked JGuS or JG&S is either from a) the original company before 1925, or b) the "replacement" company founded sometime after 1925, but before 1934.
Anything marked GODET is debatable.
Anything marked L/50 or 21 is made by the same company, and I think it was Gebrüder Godet / WILM. I think this because TR-era decorations with those marks have been found in cartons labeled "Gebrüder Godet," with the address on Charlottenstraße.
Another thought: can anyone provide images of silver content marks on a WILM marked decoration? It would seem logical that, if WILM owned Godet, they might use the same 800 stamps. So it may be possible to guess which 'G' or 'GODET' marked crosses were made under the auspices of WILM (after 1925), if they use truly identical silver content stamps.
Also, a comparison of reverse hardware between any G or GODET marked decorations, and any WILM marked decorations, could provide some clues.
