I've just read this thread through and it amazes me.
A prime example why our forum is so great! I'm sad that i don't live next door to you, Bill. I would have EK2s from 1813 to 57' for you to test..
An idea also came to mind just to do an imitation and run to the nearest jewelry-shop. But a few seconds later i realize that i might not find one capable of such tests without driving a few hundred kilometres.. And the small fact that nothing is open at this time of day.
