Brass and three piece construction. It is not magnetic and there are flecks of silver color in a few spots of the core but also flecks of brass. What the heck is it?

Only marking is "800" on the pin.

                George, for EK1 #1 try this: http://dev.wehrmacht-awards.com/foru...d.php?t=290525

                EK1 #2 try this: http://dev.wehrmacht-awards.com/foru...d.php?t=262342

                I don't know about the EK2.

I think that your EK2 might be Brass and made in the 20's or 30's. It has been said on the forum that they were given to Freikorps members. Also, it is thought that the rings on most of these crosses are broken off because of the material used. I like them because of their wonderful detail and unusual colors. Though these are not world war 1 pieces, IMO they are deffinitly original transition period crosses

The 3rd one is for me the pick of the bunch...a Godet with fangs.

                      That's a cracker!

On the screw-back vaulted, is that marked "008"?

Or is it just an up-side down "800".

                              800

I've seen this before. I would think that it is just an upside down 800. The Godet is nice.
