A fool and his money.....

That is assuming the fool and money are fortunate enough to get together in the first place. I love this part:
"...I have been a militaria collector since 1961 and have seen my share of reproductions as well as authentic pieces."
"...my 'vibes' tell me that this is an authentic badge which was in fact owned by the Red Baron."
If he has been collecting since 1961 and really believes this was once the property of von Richthofen, I can't help but wonder what he's been doing with his time.

Looks like someone had a good time with their laser. Always wondered what those shallow crown well abominations looked like inside.
My favorite part is home made ink stamp on the bottom of the simulated leather case that dates at least to 1990. This was a joy to read Mike. Thanks for posting it. I can only imagine what Ferg will say. SteveAttached Files

People need to find an old engraved German shooting medal and carry it around with them, and when they see a badge like this, pull out the $12 medal and compare the quality of original period hand engraving with this cartoonish crap. Any jeweler who was this poor at engraving would have starved to death. The engraving should be downright beautiful.
