Very carefully done, but don't you wonder what the wearer thought he was doing?
The only other one like this I have ever seen I got from Stijn: the outer two ribbon bars are 15 mm width, but the accordion folded center one is probably a piece of the issue 30mm chopped off from the length that came with the medal. This is, by careful poking (it is really FOLDED down!
) for the Schwarzburg MMM or House Order, but the center blue stripe is completely covered this way. since it is not a "mirrored halves" ribbon like Mike's above:

It's on the original type Feldgrau tab backing, introduced during WW1, but found into the late 1930s as "left over" outfitter stock.
Like Mike's, no way to tell if this was a wartime field "make do" or a 1920s cheapo's home altered version.Comment
