Something different: feldgrau visor caps

Hello all:

As a collector of imperial headgear, I was pleased to see some threads on pickelhauben over the last few days. Hope these pics of my german visor cap collection are of interest.

Here is a pic of an officer's feldmutz for the 7th Jager Btln. Note the original Schaumburg-Lippe cockade.

Prussian officer schirmmutz for Uhlan Rgmt 12 or 16. Note the white piping is not found on the bottom of the band

Wurtemberg officer's feldmutz for 20th Uhlan Rgmt. Cap is late war with a coated canvas visor and chinstrap and paper (not paper cloth) sweatband.

I collect Third Reich and don't have much knowledge on these, but you have a nice little collection of head gear. They look to be in great shape for as old as they are.

Hi Dave,

I remember most of these from the photos you sent me a few years back, they look just as fine now. I love your Baden artillery officer's Schirmmütze and the Württemberg officer's Ulan Regt 20 Schirmmütze. You mentioned that the latter has a "paper sweatband", but it appears the cap also has one of those blue-colored paper liners? Thanks for sharing, they look better and better every time I see them.
