If you want gross, there's a show on down here called "Collectors". The other week, they had a lady on who COLLECTED hair - just hair. She had all sorts of braids, etc, that had been removed in one piece and get this, she had dozens of round glass petri dishes full of - you guessed it - PUBIC hairs. GROSS

People used to take hair from dead relatives, wrap it around pieces of thin wire, then fold the wire into shapes like flowers, trees, scenes, and etc. The piece grew over time and was supposed to stay within the family. There was a superstition that went with owning one if you weren't a family member. They call them "human hair wreathes". Doing strange things with dead folks hair was quite an art in the 19th and early 20th centuries. Ammersee
