There are variations- some have a silvered bullet or artillery shell at the bottom. Others just a cut ribbon. And the enamel ek emblem can have different dates too. Nice one!Comment

I'm sure the guy bought it as a patriotic piece in 1915, assuming the war would be successfully concluded in that year. When it wasn't he probably put it away which is why it is in such good condition, and bought himself a new one which had 1914-1916 on it.pseudo-expertComment
