            That is most likely.
I agree with Rick that he also held a Griffin Officers cross.
Anyway the Wend. Crown is a rare award, the Golden Merit cross was still given to Professors which would get knights crosses or even Commanders grades in other countries.

            Best regards

Please don't tell me I may need to hunt down a Griffin officer grade as I have just blown my $$$$ on Oldenburg Order of Peter Fred. Ludw. grand cross with swords on the ring and if I need to find a Griffin I may need to find a new place to live just so I can "accomodate"it in my collection.

persian Order of the Sun and the Lion.

I have never seen a Pursian order on a european order bar.

Is this most unusual to see a Persian order on any medal bars to Germany, France, Britain, Italy, etc............

Great bar. Makes me want to collect Imperial again.

I am committed to not buying any more Imperial German awards until I sell-trade my old style ribbon bar that I bought from stogieman. I cannot understand why nobody wants it. I would think Rick would buy it but...........

WOW again!!! That General is also wearing a neck order from Sweden and Japan as well!!!! I wonder what else he's wearing, I knew what two of them were and I'd guess on a few more, but that is one IMPRESSIVE grouping. I wonder where the real ones are today....what collection or museum has them?

Who could this important man be who was decorated by so many other lands. What could he have done to get them?

                        HOLY WOW, GOSH DANG< choke...choke....WOW!!!!

Rick! We need some help here, before this Texan shoots his own foot!

Anymore info on this thread will be greatly appreciated!

                        Thanks,
                        Gary

He has such a odd awarding of orders .. I would have thought that I could ID him fairly easily... but he has alluded me so far... He wears the Centennial Medal which I believe came out in 1897 and the tunic was changed in 1909... so that would place him between 1897 and 1909.... But I have had no luck with the Rank Lists so far.......

He wears the Red Eagle Order w/oak leaves, The Order of the Crown, Then Italian, then Swedish then Romainian then Japanese and fianlly the Persian.....

                          Cheers

Back to ccj's comments:I have 2 or 3 Austrian groups,an Italian group, and a French group ,and a Dutch group with Sun and Lion orders in them.I have wondered if the Shah was like the king of Bokhara and gave out medals etc instead o tipping. The Italian group was to policeman who was part of the Shah's guard in 1906 stae visit to Europe.
