That's a great find
The first one as you know is a Iron Cross 1st class. It is in a
typical early production case. The next one is the Red Cross
medal. The last one is a Prussion Red Eagle Order 4th class.
They are not particularly rare but finding onein it's original case
is something special. I do not know how or why these were
handed out as they were not really an award for bravery. Maybe
someone with a little more experience can fill in this information.

You're right about the first two, with the Red Cross Medal being a war-time zinker. The third is the Prussian Red Eagle Order 4th class, with pebbled arms meaning a date of about 1900-10. These were awarded to junior officers for good conduct etc. during peace time, and with swords on the black-white ribbon for war time merit. The war issued crosses are much scarcer than the peace-time issues.

I’m not 100% sure, but I think that they went over to the pebbled arms in 1879 and were awarded in this form through November 1918; and I am also quite sure that they were awarded, without swords of course, to nonmilitary personnel, even foreigners, as well.

the red cross
is Prussian 3rd class [there are only 3 classes]
1st class is a stick cross
2nd class features a red enamel center
and will be silver or silver plate,
as to value - $30-40, sometimes more
the award is common, the case is less so

UPDATE TO THIS THREAD!!!!

In reviewing this thread that I posted last November I decided to also reveiw the pinned threads of the EK1 dbs so graciously provided by the likes Don Doering and others. Much to my surprise I just learned that the cased EK1 that I showed in this thread does have a maker mark and it is the "FR" mm below the hinge.
