Wilhelm is marrying off his daughter. The text is written around various names of Belgian and French places.
The note at the back is dated October 1914. A chap is writing to a friend explaining that the Kaiser is marrying off "his bitch" (as in the animal kingdom) but that she does not seem too happy about it. He adds that he does not think he will be asked to appear as a witness to the wedding and that the card is to cheer him up.Attached Files

How we treat him! The French way (hot sauce).
Well done Pitou (?), another one!
The note at the back is written by what appears to be a doctor in a hospital to his wife. He heads the letter with "la charcuterie de la marche" (the slaughter of the march) and explains that the hospital is full, with 4 deaths since Sunday. He works from 5.30am until 9 in the evening. Wounded arrive every day and he also gets many wounded officers.Attached Files

Here's an unusual one. It's a "double postcard", obviously celebrating the meeting of 'ol Willy with Herzog Adolf von Nassau in the Infelhotel, in 1888. Can anyone tell me more about this?Attached Files
