    ebay.de

The eBay.de tank badge is fake. In addition, there's a different fake tank badge posted as well, different construction, but again, fake, fake, fake. Period, end of story, on the two on eBay.de. No comment on the discussion of the face right, face left, face forward, strictly my opinion of the ones currently on auction in DE

      Tank Badge

I would say that there are NO dealers who can say with certainty what a WWI Tank badge looks like. I don't know how many were made but usually many would be made by the manufacturer to sell to whoever may want to buy one. If more than one manufacturer made them then who knows.
It is highly probable that the original dies were put back to use after WWII like many other awards to be sold to GIs.

What do you think about this one?

Any help would be greatly appreciated! Used the Niemann book as reference, but...

        Is Juncker marked.

I have my doubts about this one. The mark is trying to be like the one found on the Machinegunsharpshooter badge. I thought the Juncker design did not have the lines around the airbursts and tank.

                Hmmm, thank you very much.

I agree. Why the hinge and catch plates on a badge made of brass rather than zinc.
As far as the makermark, I don't like it at all. It appears to be a stamp of at least two pieces based on the uneven depth of the lettering. Also, I am not sure if the correct Juncker mark from this time period had the line on top of the "J" in Juncker. I do not think so, but Don can perhaps clarify this. All in all, I would save my money on this one.
                  best wishes,
