Bread bag types of 1st WW - and before-anybody clued up?

    Hi,
I've posted a breadbag up in the DDR forum, as although similar is different to German breadbags of the 'norm'.

    http://dev.wehrmacht-awards.com/foru...434#post973434

The closest bags I've seen to them are similar to 'breadbags' worn during 1800s onward.(at least thats where I think I've seen the buttons before).
-perhaps it is a repro of an old style bag?

The other thing about the bag is it is stamped with what appears to be 'WILHELM PRINZ' - and some other unreadable stuff, in a oval stamp.- hence why I'm attempting to seek help in the Imperial section.
Have any of you guys seen a bag like this? - any thoughts?

    Thanks for looking,
    Cheers,

Is there any chance this bag is from before ww2?

I've always thought that these types of bags were HJ, SA or something of that nature. Definitely not imperial or immediate post-1918.

      Thanks Chip.

I'll post this up in the equipment forum and see if anybody there knows what it is.
      Cheers,
