    This order is correct for a soldier from Hesse or one from Prussia who happened to get the Hesse award. However it would be much less likely for a Prussian to get the Hesse bravery medal than for a Hessian to get the Iron Cross.

    Generally, the Kingdoms of Bavaria and Saxony are the only ones who put their own awards ahead of Prussian ones.
