Trying to identify makers of 3 EKI

Have grabbed myself by the collar and decided to try to identify makers of my 1914 iron crosses where possible. Have spent some time using the EK data base but after a while it starts to get confusing…. Well, I may have identified two out of these three crosses, let´s see if You agree with me...

    1. My suggestion for this cross is B H Mayer. Is 800-marked underneath the top screw.

    2. This one I am taking a chance with: Zimmermann. Didn´t find any other ones with closed 4 and also otherwise I think it has some resemblance to that maker. Brutally vaulted and much wear has smoothed out some of the details. Crown protrudes out of the frame.

    3. No clue on this one…. this one´s crown also protrudes outside of the frame. A genuine manufacture-vaulted cross as compared to the nr 2 cross...

    Any help is greatly appreciated!

You are correct, #1 is a Mayer.

      I think #2 is a Deschler or S/L. I'm leaning towards S/L. I may be wrong
as I have never really studing the large crown/ closed 4 style crosses the
      way other s hear have.

Not sure about #3. Could you rotate the pictures right side up?
I'm getting a stiff neck trying to look at them

Thanks for conforming the nr 1 cross! I have a 1st class 1914/39 Clasp made by B.H. Mayer. With this new knowledge I will have to rearrange my display and put that one together with this cross.

I followed Your suggestion of S & L on the nr 2 cross and came upon this thread: http://dev.wehrmacht-awards.com/foru...=steinhauer+EK

It has a comparison of four makers crowns and I think my crown is a very close match to the FLL-crown.

Then about the pictures…. I have had some trouble getting photos I upload to be displayed correctly on the forum but I thought I had been successful this time. On my computer all pictures in this thread are shown correctly. Is it possible that different computers show pictures differently? (Computers are not my field of expertise….)
