Have grabbed myself by the collar and decided to try to identify makers of my 1914 iron crosses where possible. Have spent some time using the EK data base but after a while it starts to get confusing…. Well, I may have identified two out of these three crosses, let´s see if You agree with me...
1. My suggestion for this cross is B H Mayer. Is 800-marked underneath the top screw.
2. This one I am taking a chance with: Zimmermann. Didn´t find any other ones with closed 4 and also otherwise I think it has some resemblance to that maker. Brutally vaulted and much wear has smoothed out some of the details. Crown protrudes out of the frame.
3. No clue on this one…. this one´s crown also protrudes outside of the frame. A genuine manufacture-vaulted cross as compared to the nr 2 cross...
Any help is greatly appreciated!
