Hi all,
my first post on this forum and I hope this is in the right place.
I obtained this badge about 10years ago and never really found out much about it's history. My mothers family are from Bremen and I just bought it on a whim, but never researched it's meaning before or since.
I am hoping more experienced collectors could shed a little light on it's background, meaning and value.
It is oval in shape, made of brass by the look.
It reads "Vryheit do ik ju openbar. Bremen 1919"
In the center is the famous statue of Roland from Bremen, size is 45 x 30mm, no makers marks on the back
I would post some pictures but can't upload them from my PC (is there a trick to this?)
Any and all assistance most welcome.
cheers
Marty
