      One more question... were all the posts painted in the same way ?
      I have gathered a few pictures of posts which happen to be painted approx in the same way...



      but you might have pictures showing different painting methods... maybe some could confirm or infirm my hypothesis...
      The reason why I am asking this is that the paint marks on the loose grenzschilds should be the same if the painting method has remained the same from the start till the end...
      When I have a look at Mike's schild, which I remind he took from the post by himself by the end of the 70s, the paint marks do not seem to correspond to to pictures above...


      Here is the back of a friend's shild (authentic one) which is pretty close to Mike's...


      Strange, isn't it ? Maybe you have come across pictures of other posts painted differently....
