      Michael, The badge is not specific to Armor it is more of a Combined Arms Specialist badge that was issued only to officers from the 60s to 80s. Kevin

        Andreas - Very informative posts depicting a foreign award being worn by an MfS member. Do you by chance know the timeframe of the photo? Thanks.

          The NVA Dienstausweis where this Photo is attached on,is issued 1985.

                the first signature is Generaloberst der Artillerie Volkotrubenko and he was the chief of the school and the second signature is Oberst Rjabov and he was the chief of the faculty or department...Cheers, Torsten.

                PS: No need to have to go to the rival forum for translations...
