Genossen,
The Beltring Front has now converting back into the Kent Military District, as Equipment is refurbished and returned to War Store " Emil" und" Friedrich" as WPFG Centre's Strategic Reserve.

The tonnage of recovered State Property or by its legend " that pile of rubbish that is in the back room ", by this Rezident's Organ's of State terror, will be imaged as soon as it is declassified by Moscow Centre.

The Progressive Scales of Issue tonnage available for recovery this year was down, the matter is under Investigation.

We saw the hallowed Genosse Dave H, got Sun burnt, very wet, and muddy as to the Norm.

The KMD VVS again failed in its Combat Mission of Cloud Seeding the Locale.

This matter is also under Investigation.

Genosse iannima will give the report on his Contact Report about Genosse Klaus.

I had a brief but interesting couple of days at the show before work and organs of state terror dragged me away.

Picked up a few pieces, one of which I do want to show the forum at some point, but for now I just want to say a big THANK YOU to Genosse Iannima!

A discussion with him at the show about me looking for a large sized DDR helmet sent him off on a mission... not only did he find me exactly what I was looking for, he presented it to me as a gift!

This Genossen is the advantage we have over the filthy capitalists

i got a some cheap DDR items, but i was abit surprised that i couldnt find much stuff.

i really wanted a cheap DDR knife, i found a dealer who had them (but not that cheap) i did try to find his stall again but lost it

Why were you surprised there wasn't much stuff? It has been 20 years now and its not collectible like fascist junk is...

What about the prices of DDR material ?
Do you think the dealers asked more than last year for the material ?
Did you saw rare items , or just the regular stuff ?

its just that last time i went i thought i remembered seeing a lot more DDR stuff.. i was not collecting DDR at the time. this time around i was on the look out for it.

i only found 1 belt, 1 fur hat, 1 framed award & 1 armband (all £5ea or less) .

also russian awards + british medals were hard to find

You must appreciate that I did it as much for yourself as for the sake of not leaving a rare size III helmet in the cold unloved and uncared for...

As Genosse Rob would also be able to tell you, my presents come with "many strings attached" as you never know when I shall suggest your wearing that helmet next!

My Beltring was not very good as far as recovery of state property goes, bur then the plain truth is that there is very little I am really looking for. Rare items were on the whole absent as David-H can testify. The only one being a full Blumentarn suit in size 3 in practically mint conditions. The asking price was £200 which I thought was beyond what I wanted to pay for something I could not bring myself to wear, and would be too big for me in any case. I picked up yet another pair of Stiefelhose with the dual brace attachment because there were four pairs in my size at a decent price (£10) in mint conditions (label attached) and I could not let all of them go, even though I already possess two pairs. I also bought three NVA toy soldiers from DDR days and a 1986 Classification badge for Panzer. So not much in general.
I have some images of two occasions that I want to present to the forum, but I am awaiting for declassification/authorisation from my esteemed Genosse James and Matthew who should also have images of their own (possibly better).
Rather sadly I have no photograph of my vehicle in action but then I am the driver and I need to concentrate!

I discovered early on Wednesday morning, on a run to the infamous shower block, that my fuel gauge is faulty as I ran out of petrol. Unfortunately that meant clogging up the carburettor with the dregs that had been left in the tank. Trying to rectify this problem brought to the discovery of another couple of issues which sent me off scouting for bits (which I found

). By Friday morning, the arrival of a holy man with magic hands meant that Klaus was restored to full combat readiness

but two full days were lost

... My eternal gratitude goes to this man who truly saved my Beltring from ruin, as Klaus performed superbly ever after, when I took people out on a run.
Unfortunately, it was only on the Friday that the events in the arena allowed my vehicle to squeeze in, and the weather was truly atrocious that morning. Sadly I had to abandon my project of entering the arena in full parade formation with the Truppenfahne fixed to a special bracket, and Genosse Viktor as the commanding officer, as the torrential rain would have turned the vehicle into a bath tub, and we would not have looked as good...

On a whim, given that the sun had reappeared and dried the surface of the mud a bit, I did enter the arena with Klaus in the afternoon, but the haste meant that my crew was not really prepared for it (missing hat for one, another one kidnapped from a shopping trip into town). I have no images of this event but perhaps they might appear elsewhere.
By Friday afternoon the torrential rain had turned the place into a quagmire. Klaus was taken out for a ride around the fields with friends (film footage might appear of this if I can figure out how to put it on youtube

). My friends are all military vehicle owners and enthusiast with vast experience on Jeeps and Land Rovers, and were all really impressed by how comfortable the ride was on Klaus. I was also enormously impressed by how it handled in the liquid mud and over rough terrain. Over the years I have acquired a bit of experience off road both in Northumberland with my club, and back home in my parents' olive grove, and I have to say that it was incredibly easy to adjust to Klaus, and I can easily see why people say that these vehicles are phenomenal off road

The only downside is that I now have half a Kent field stuck to the underside of Klaus

... I shall be going to a Jet wash in an hour or so to put that to right

Pity about your Parade Gag, but the failure of the Cloud Seeding, ( again ) and Klaus's Traitorous Fuel Gauge will be dealt with in the harshest manner.

I arrived on saturday for just one day,which i think it is not long enough.....
I was walking around trying to seek out where the WPFG camp is,but failed to do so,also failed to meet comrades from WPFG on my looking around trip.Rob from the DBO der DDR showed up when i am leavning the show and shawn at morning in the DBO der DDR camp.However,i did find Matteo's camp with the GAZ by following shawn's insturction and by utilizing my newly bought binoclurs,but matteo is not present,therefore i took a photo for the GAZ.If i have been to the show on friday,i could have seen the GAZ in action......

There was only one book for infantry weapons of the warsaw pact and one WW2 binoclurs which i have obtained.By walking through the stores,i did not find much DDR stuff,by occasion,there is one soviet store from poland,but failed to find it again in the afternoon,which made my purchasing plan failed.
However,the DBO der DDR has created a DDR border check point which is very impressive,i wish to that again next year.
Will have more photos for the DDR check point later.

I have now received authorisation from the relevant authorities to declassify these images and propose them to the forum.
On the Thursday, (one of the days when Klaus was out of action) a plan chrystallised to march the Regimental flag from my camp, near the exit all the way to the East German encampment where a section of the inner German border had been recreated... We set off in good spirit...

Merry thoughts on our way... and some unorthodox singing...

Coordination improved as we went along...

As we reached a more trafficked section we had to fall in single file...

Then we lined up in front of the border to present arms to our esteemed Genosse engaged in their difficult task of preventing the infiltration of afscist influences into the Workers and Farmers paradise...

And after that we all faced West blinking at the sun and at the million flashing cameras

By Friday lunchtime, we sadly lost the support of Genosse Matthew. The weather was horrible in any case. After having managed to drive Klaus into the arena with the inestimable help of Genosse Rob and James, and exploiting a lull in the torrential downpours, Genosse James and I went to man the defence of the border in an older style:

Please note that the muddy boots simply could not be avoided...

... you have no idea what the conditions were on the roads

Shame that I closed my eyes here...

It is sad to see Genosse Rob betraying the Fatherland but it would have to be said that he made an excellent job of what he was trying to do...

The uniforms here do not match as the Blumentarn is obviously 1960s whereas the British Army uniform is more 1980s, but I am no expert on British Army uniforms...
