Somebody, after all, had to make a start. What we wrote and said is also believed by many others. They just don't dare express themselves as we did. Quote - Sophie Scholl - White Rose resistance group

Ralph, that is strange I can see it fine...

      Olivier,
Yes nice tailored tunic , especially interesting is how the owner has added the extra loops so he doesn't have to sew the button down. Strange how quite a few tailored tunics don't have the eyelets for attaching laces!!!

Thank you for your answers !
As usual I tried to display the picture into the thread but it did not work... do not why... this is why I placed the link !

Yes it is my tunic !
Frm the zigzag stitching underneath the collar I would think it was tailored in the very early 60s... am I right ?

Just because it has zig-zag stitching doesn't always make it very early, I would probably date this one to the mid 60's, remember private tailoring techniques didn't follow the same lines as mass production, it is dependant on the tailor, ie some early tailored tunics don't have zig-zag.....
I am guessing all the buttons are brass backed?

One recent strange find ... it is supposed to be a parade tunic... but it does not have any strap and D ring to attach the dagger...

                      .

I don't think it's parade.I don't see any armel patten on the sleeves.
Ore are they out off sight??

Could it be a pre 1961 dagger re-introduction one ?
