Yes nice tailored tunic , especially interesting is how the owner has added the extra loops so he doesn't have to sew the button down. Strange how quite a few tailored tunics don't have the eyelets for attaching laces!!!Somebody, after all, had to make a start. What we wrote and said is also believed by many others. Just because it has zig-zag stitching doesn't always make it very early, I would probably date this one to the mid 60's, remember private tailoring techniques didn't follow the same lines as mass production, it is dependant on the tailor, ie some early tailored tunics don't have zig-zag.....
I am guessing all the buttons are brass backed?
