    The photo is not at all clear but I agree with Bone Collector that it appears to be an early Feuerwehr cap to me as well.

      The Seller is offering the hat as a KVP Hat...I've asked for better pics and I await them soon but if you say that it is a Feuerwehr hat,then I don't want it anymore.

        I got the hat I bought on ebay. Although it looks old it is definitely a West German hat. Although the label isn't clear I can make out:
        Klassiker Kasse e G
        Köln
        Of course Köln is Cologne in West Germany. I must be content with the KVP insignia and wonder if it was made up as a fake or is there some story behind it. I do think it is a handsome hat. Mike Custer
