Wallonien, thanks for posting the photograph from the GB forum. But my first thoughts are that the persons in the photo are either German people's police or German Border police and not the KVP due to the actions that are taken place in the photo. In case you have not seen it, I recently wrote an article of the early years of East Germany and posted the link below to the article. Your thoughts and comments are appericated...
Here’s one KVP pic from 1945, I found it on gunboards.com. Notice the k98’s?

Hello all - To follow up with the below picture. Right now I am very much leaning on the side that the timeframe of when the picture was taken was after 1948. The first two letters of the plate "GB" signify that the car is from Berlin and the letters began to be used in 1948. I also believe that the vehicle is a police vehicle due to the first two numbers 00 on the plate.
So for me I see the below photo as a staged photo potentially done by either the local East German police or the DVdI.

Original Photos from the "Jagdflieger-Geschwader Heinrich-Rau"
These Photos were originally attached on some sort of Wall-Board and hung in the Baracks of this Unit.
Andreas - Very nice group of period b/w photos in your collection. For scenery pictures, post 188 is very nice.
Is there a possiblity that you can post close ups of the two photos in post 186 and 187 that appear to be unit flags. Thanks...

Andreas - Thanks for the posting the additional b/w photos.
Observation/question: When a military officer put a banner on a flag, were they usually general officiers? Or could field grade officers also put banners on flags?
