Hi guys,
Just back from the MAX show, had a great time seeing many friends and was also able to pick up a few nice badges for my collection. One of my Russian pick ups was this nice Guards Badge. Actually this is my first guards badge, have always found these to be great looking badges from when I first started collecting Russian items. Nice wartime example with nice enamelwork intact and nice fire gilded finish of the wreath. Not a rare badge, but representative wartime example IMO.
I had my eye on a Sevastapol campaign medal at the show as well as its one of the last campaign medals I need for my collection, but luckily my friend Thomas Bendixen was there and saw that the medal eyelet was broken and had been glued back in place! Very well done but close scrutiny saved me $250 thanks to Thomas' eagle eyes. Thanks my friend!
