    Interesting question, here is my perspective on
    the subject. Post WW2 tops IMO are smaller in
    size, & often contain factory logo & price mark.
    For a WW2 top look for a Moscow or Leningrad
    lettered (non-graphic-symbol) factory marking.

      Thanks much! Mine is the smaller size. It looks like mine is the late Cold War real type from your pic and description. Got it at a flea market for 10 bucks so I am not in very deep at all.

                I'm also interested in soviet flagpole top and I see that you have more information about the different types. I have seen flagpoles like the (f) and (i) but I havn't more info. You know some website or an other source?

                    Always great to hear from others interested in flag
                    pole tops - a whole collecting topic in their own right.
                    I've noted the OFW type "f" design in a Russian book,
                    as cited with any translation help being appreciated.
                    On the OFW type "i", I've noted these being sold from
                    Bulgaria in both plastic and cast metal forms. See ...
