Hey, before we move on, are we first going to learn a little more about this pin? What was it given/ awarded for? And also, it has a hangar. So what was attached to it? Inquiring minds want to know.....Michael D. GALLAGHER

Hello there ! Congratulations to the winner(s) !!
What can I tell you about this badge... very little in fact... my brother in law is a Volunteer fireman and attended some International Firemeeting years ago... they went to Czecholovakia where he exchanged insignia with local firemen... I got those just as I am showing them to you... I am glad it made this game somewhat hot !
Any info one those badges would be welcome since I do not know anything else on them....
cheers

Hi Guys,
Thanks for the honors. Unfortunately, I have already shared most of my Cold War collection over the past year, so I'm a little hard pressed to find a good Item to post, but I will take a look to see what I have available and get back to you.

Olivier,
Congratulations! You are correct, it is not Soviet but a Bulgarian 40 years of Victory over Fascism Medal.
What I think is cool about this medal is the sword piercing the fascist symbol (swaz) at the bottom of the medal. On the reverse is written "40 Years victory over Hitler-Fascism" It was awarded in 1985 for in celebration of the 40 years victory over fascism it was presented to military servicemen.
I guess the ball back in your court.
