Well John correctly guessed that it is of former Czech Republic origin. And unless someone comes through in the next few days with a more definitive answer, I say he wins as he at least got one of the two requirements correct.
Maybe I can help you along the rest of the way John. I suspect this pin is a Political Party pin. However, I know nothing of the former Czech Communist political parties, nor what they were called or their respective acronymns. However, I suspect if you can identify them, and then list them, this all-metal ribbon bar is bound to belong to one of them, and you therefore would have completed all requirements and would then be the undisputable winner.
Good luck.Michael D. GALLAGHER

I am going to guess that this pin is an "Activist" pin. Most "Activist" pins had some type of hangar, and from the hangar hung either a number, or a date.
So, keeping this alive and going forward, that is my next guess.Michael D. GALLAGHER

Alright...I am going to throw on the post...this thought...how about railroad or sometype of transportation badge.Somebody, after all, had to make a start. What we wrote and said is also believed by many others. They just don't dare express themselves as we did. Quote - Sophie Scholl - White Rose resistance group

Woohoo!!!
Hey Olivier...thanks for last round about your Czech fire badge...I for sure learned about a new badge and will not forget about it.
Hey Mike...I agree with you that John should be the next to post since he correctly narrowed down the country for all of us.
So John...I am ready to be stumped again...Somebody, after all, had to make a start. What we wrote and said is also believed by many others. They just don't dare express themselves as we did. Quote - Sophie Scholl - White Rose resistance group

Congratulations Ralph (aka: Tony, David and now Rich ). You truly are Stasi.
Okay, now Olivier, I think you should inform us about as much as you know about this pin. What exactly relevant the civilian Fire Department personnel did it represent, or was it awarded to and for? Before we proceed on, I think we should nail it down. And then Ralph can once again, when time permits, post another item for us to play with, and in turn, become educated about.
Also, just a thought, but since John did guess the Czech Republic, I think this would be one of those rare (I hope) situations where Ralph, should he choose to do so, could "Pass-the-buck" so to speak, and let John do the next post. (???)
And lastly, I'd just like to express my appreciation and congratulations to both John and Ralph, for insuring that Olivier did not "Stump-the-Chump" so very early in the game. That would have been very embarrassing.

Holy Cow !!!!!
How'd you do that Ralph? Are you clairvoyant or something? Maybe you got some kind of Stasi Crystal Ball? If so, post it.
How'd you respond to my post, and end up ahead of it? Weird......Michael D. GALLAGHER
