Books

Dear Friends,
I collect most kind of items related to Soviet and Russian intelligence. This of course includes stuff from the military GRU as well as both KGB and SVR, but also from Comintern, their department OMS and MOPR, and the Soviet Communist Party´s International Department.
I am also interested in some items to do with Soviet Special Forces as parts of their peace time activities are closely connected with their military intel.

Actually, Ralph, we are in the process of looking at houses- though not due to the collection. We currently live in an antebellum piece of crap that was worked on through the ages by, apparently, individuals with combined GCT/ARI scores of about 11. Nothing square, nothing fits, the electric and plumbing defy description. The land (9 acres) is great, and hopefully will sell soon after the housing market gets back on it's feet... and, hopefully, we'll already be situated in our new abode having taken advantage of the current buyers' market. Anyway, my collection is resigned to clear medal envelopes in six-pocket sleeves held in binders; the screw-back badges are in a large-very large- tupperware-type container and all of this, along with the books, are in a Dollar Store plastic tub with a locking lid. Real "up-town" stuff here!

Soviet era MILITARY-POLITICAL OFFICER items

Good Day Guys - I have started to collect Soviet era / Communist Military Political Officer or political cadre personnel items of insignia and awards. This is a new area, but falls within my speciality collecting interest of worldwide PSYCHOLOGICAL OPERATIONS unit insignia. As I become more confident in understanding these units and insignia, I am slowly building up a collection thereof. Soviet era / Communist ideological / political officer and Political Academy insignia / awards are thus of interest. I am interested in learning about these cadres and insignia / awards and welcome any communication therein. Drew Chaney - Australia
